特に難しい問題を解く場合、次のような手順を取るのが最短です。

まず問題を把握するために、資料等をひっくり返しまくり、読みまくる。頭の中に必要な情報を全部入れる
1時間ぐらい情報をこねくり回して、頭の中にすでにある答を応用するだけでどうにかならないか考える
新しい、関連する情報がどこかに落ちていないか、図書館等で調べる
どうにもならなくなったら、一旦頭の中で問題を落ち着かせるために、雑談等今まで使ってきた部位を使わないような事を行う。この状態の時は back ground job では問題を解き続けているので、別の集中力を要する仕事や危険な仕事…運転とか…はやってはいけない。ほぼ100%間違えたり事故ったりする。最適なのは雑談で、内容がくだらなければくだらないほど良い
これでもだめなら布団をかぶって寝る。なぜか夢のなかで問題が解決される

この手の問題を解かなくては行けなくなったのに、何時間も真面目な顔をしてうんうん唸っている奴は、大抵「下手な考え休むに似たり」な状態にしかありません。
